FAQ

Do you take on custom orders?

Absolutely! Right now I only accept custom orders for aprons, but you never know - that could change in the future!

How long will my custom order take and cost?

That completely depends on so many variables! When you send me an inquiry about an order, I will discuss design, fabric, time, cost and my schedule with you before we confirm the custom order.

What kind of sewing machine do you use?

Right now I am using a Singer Simple 3116. It is very basic, but right now meets all my needs and is a fantastic machine! I also have a vintage Kenmore from my Great Grandma and am in the process of  getting it restored. I can not wait to be able to start stitching on that beast of a machine :)

Where do you get your fabric?

Everywhere! I use a variety of vendors, both local and online! I have found a shop on Etsy I love to buy fabric from, but I love shopping at little quilting and fabric shops - there is nothing quite like feeling all that beautiful fabric!

What are some of your favorite fabric designers?

Bonnie Christine, Ty Pennington, Caroline Hulse {Sew Caroline}, Pat Bravo, Bonnie and Camille, Riley Blake Designs, Leah Duncan, Katy Jones, Heather Bailey, Fig Tree and Co, Frances Newcomb and the list could go on and on :)

What made you start trying to sell your designs?

To be honest, it came from my love of sewing, and fabric not being cheap :) I had all these projects I wanted to sew, but I did not need all of these aprons, blankets, totes and table runners, nor could I afford to keep buying fabric to make them. I tried one small town show to see if there was any market or interest for these items, and the rest kind of  just happened (with a lot of hard work and late nights and occasional tears that I will not get into:). I definitely go through busier times with my shows and orders, but all in all, the work has been steady and all I can say is I am grateful to all of you!
